Balance questions

When will Twinkle nerf happen?
We continuously monitor game analytics and player feedback to ensure a balanced experience for everyone. From time to time, we adjust heroes, particularly those who significantly deviate from the overall gameplay norms and if some planned changes or features will make the hero unbalanced.

Answering the question: yes, we do plan to make changes to Twinkle and Kwon in the future, just as we've done with other heroes in the past. However, at this time, we're not able to share specific details about what those changes will be.
Will there be a nerf for Kwon's Hook?
Why is Twinkle’s temporary shield implemented? Her gun is already overpoweredWe aim to give every hero abilities not just for offense, but also for self-defense. Twinkle is indeed strong when it comes to mobility and attack, but she’s no exception — she still needs a way to protect herself in the heat of battle.
Will there be a buff for old heroes (Bertha, Slayer, Dragoon, Raven, Levi, Cyclops)?Yes, someday in the future.
Will drones ever be nerfed or made intangible to stop blocking shots?We’re planning to introduce significant changes to the drone mechanics and their upgrade system in one of the upcoming updates. Additionally, an ability of one of the drones is also set to be reworked. We'll share more details closer to the release of the update.
Will drone revives be changed?For now we have no plans on changing the revive abilities.
Will you swap the movement loudness for Stalker and Ghost?We have no plans on swapping the movement loudness.
When will heroes with invisibility be nerfed?Right now, we don’t see a reason to nerf heroes with invisibility. From what we see, they are still balanced and don’t seem too strong or overpowered. But if something changes in the future and they start feeling too powerful, we might adjust them.
Will weapon mods be improved to avoid a tank meta and make weak heroes playable again?Weapon modifications are a brand-new system, and we will keep working on balance in the future. We’re watching the meta closely and are ready to make changes if needed to keep things fair.
Will Bastion’s ability be changed? He feels too slow and clunky.Right now, we don’t have plans to change his ability.
Are you planning to do real balance work and not just “for show”? You keep adding broken heroes and mechanics.We get that not every hero feels fun or fair to everyone — that’s okay. But that doesn’t mean they’re broken. We test and analyze everything, and changes are made based on feedback and data, not randomly.
Will gear be reworked to focus more on the hero, not the weapon?A gear rebalance is planned. You’ll see how it changes in one of the upcoming updates.
Will zombie arcade mode be balanced? It’s way too hard.It’s meant to be hard — experienced teams can beat it. Still, we plan to update zombie mode in the future and add difficulty options.
How do you measure a hero’s strength? Do you track stats and can players see them?We track stats like win rate, power, and pick rate for every hero. But we’re not planning to share that data publicly.

Will there be new PvE modes or separate endless mode?Yes.
Will there be events limited to specific hero classes only?Maybe. But currently not planned. 
Will there be a trophy path for each hero?
Will there be presets system implementation?Yes, we have it in our backlog.
Can we see what upgrades our killer had equipped?Already in development.
Will we ever have the option to manually fire weapons?No.
Are you working on adding new environmental hazards?Yes.
Will there be a ranked mode?Maybe. We've been discussing it for quite a long time, but no final decision has been made yet.
Will there ever be an option to enable blue zone effects after unlocking medals?No. Blue zone is an easter egg. :)
Can there be a resource and gear trading system?No, we don't plan on implementing this system.
Will there be a training range or a mode with bots?We like this idea, and it’s something we’ve discussed before internally. Although there are no specific plans in place at the moment, we are not ruling it out for the future.

 

Quality of life, technical issues, and community features

Why is the microphone quality bad?Microphone quality depends on the device, Internet speed, and its stability. We are checking Voice Chat every update and for now we see no issues.
Will there ever be a p2p chat system?For now — no plans for this thing.
Can we have a better system for reporting team-killers?The current system works pretty well from what we see in our analytics tools. If you have any detailed suggestions, feel free to send them to our Discord.
Why isn’t there a button to ban/report toxic teammates directly?We will think on adding this button. Thanks for the idea.
Will friend list expansion happen?Maybe someday. :)

When will the optimization for weaker phones be improved?There are thousands of different devices out there, and each one has its own setup — different screen sizes, processors, OS versions, and so on. We always try to optimize the game for the majority of devices, including weaker ones. But it’s not possible to make it work perfectly on every single phone, especially if the device is very old or doesn’t meet the game’s minimum requirements anymore.
Can performance issues after major updates be fixed permanently?
While we understand the point of the question, by itself, nature is too vague. We have players who have never experienced performance issues, while on the other hand, we have players who have stable performance issues. This question can be answered in different ways: it depends on the player's device, the player's network stability, etc. Answering the question — no, that's not possible to fix a performance issue permanently for all players at once. That's simply not technically and physically possible. Still, we are always open for any bug reports!
When are you planning to improve performance of the game? Seems like after every major update there are bugs and server-related issues.
Why punish players for exploiting your bugs?That's simple — we stand for fair play, and the word "exploit" says everything for itself. We're not only encouraging players not to use exploits to avoid getting banned forever, but also suggesting that they report any exploits to our community manager or support team. If the exploit exists, was reproduced, and was never reported, the reporter gets an in-game reward from us, depending on how critical the issue was.
Why ban people from events after releasing them?We don't ban our players from playing events. That's technically impossible.

When will the game be better optimized? It keeps freezing.We do our best to make the game work well on as many devices as possible. But over time, we add new features, effects, and improvements that can make the game run worse on older phones. If turning on “Performance Mode” in Settings doesn’t help, and your device is outdated, then sadly, the only real solution is to switch to a newer phone.
Do you understand why players are unhappy after every update?Every player has different expectations, play styles, and preferences — so any update will always get both good and bad feedback. It’s just not possible to release an update that makes absolutely everyone happy. Negative reactions are a normal part of a live game. We keep reading feedback and make changes when needed.
Will you add a graphics mode for very weak phones?Lowering graphics even more would remove important visual elements that are needed for gameplay. So unfortunately, the answer is no.

 

Shop, purchases, prices, boxes, special offers, rewards

Will prices ever be lowered?

We regularly review regional prices several times a year, taking into account economic factors, exchange rates, and other local conditions. Recently, for example, we lowered prices in Poland and some other countries. We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust prices where necessary.

  • Regarding question 1 (Will prices ever be lowered?): Yes, price adjustments happen when needed based on economic conditions.

  • Regarding question 2 (Any plan to lower Star Pass prices in specific regions?): We are reviewing regional markets regularly and make changes when appropriate; recent updates affected several countries.

  • Regarding question 3 (Why are prices set so high?): Prices are set based on various factors like exchange rates and local economic conditions, and we aim to balance affordability and sustainability.

Any plan to lower Star pass prices in specific regions (e.g., Pakistan)?

Will Coils (mod currency) become more frequent and easier to get?
Weapon mods are a brand-new feature, and it's natural that their progression takes time. It's not designed to be fully accessible from day one — just like any exclusive feature, it's meant to unlock gradually, depending on how much time or resources a player is ready to invest. We're closely watching how things evolve and will make changes if needed, but it's important to understand that part of the value of new content comes from the journey of unlocking and upgrading it.
Why are weapon upgrade materials limited and expensive? Will the prices for gun mods ever be reduced?
Will drone parts and weapon modifications drop from battle/skull chests?We do not plan to make such changes anytime soon.
Why is the remove ads offer not permanently available for everyone?We are testing the availability of this offer to some player groups. If we see that this offer causes a positive impact, we will roll it out for all players.
Will there be Coils available on the Arcade Road?No, we don't plan to do that anytime soon.
Can legendary skins be added to arcade rewards?Yes, they will appear once in a while in the Arcade Leaderboard.
Why do prices increase so much after making a purchase? Why is this the policy?The price increase is linked to what's included in the special offers. For example, if one player sees an offer for $10 and another for $20, the $20 offer will always include more items or higher value. The same offer will never cost more for one player and less for another if the contents are the same. However, if you buy bigger or multiple offers, the system may gradually adjust future prices to match your spending pattern — but you will always get equal or better value for what you pay. We are currently exploring ways to improve this system.
Why did the developers drop the idea of upgrading modules with coins?We never planned to upgrade modules using coins.
Will the “Tech” tab be updated? We need new rewards for tech tokens.There are no plans for that in the near future. The subscription already gives the best value for money in the game. But we might review the subscription rewards in the future.
When will we see 2 heroes in the Star Pass reward?So far, we don't plan to introduce more than one hero per Star Pass season.

 

Questions related to the Syndicates

When will Syndicate wars/shop start?
We do have plans to develop the Syndicate system further and improve player interaction within it throughout 2025–2026. However, it’s still in the early stages of development, so we’re not ready to share any specific details just yet.
How do you plan to develop syndicates, clan wars, and the shop? Will there be things like roulettes, new currencies, or mini-tournaments?
Will there be Syndicate co-leader/invite system?Co-leader — yes, invite system — not sure.
Will it be possible to form alliances between syndicates?In the game — no, but you can do it outside the game! :)
What's the purpose of Syndicate currency?
Syndicate currency was originally intended to be used in the Syndicate shop. However, since the shop hasn’t been released yet, the currency currently doesn’t have a purpose. Stay tuned for future Syndicate updates.
When will we learn about the use of Syndicate credits?

 

Matchmaking and servers

When will matchmaking be improved, especially at 10k+ trophies?We have plans to rework both end-game matchmaking and Bravery Road in the future.
Will skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) ever be introduced?We do not plan to introduce full skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) in regular matches, as it would require a complete rework of the game and could lead to losing many players.
However, we are considering adding a form of SBMM as part of ranked matches in the future.
When will server and ping improvements happen?
The word “lag” is quite vague and can mean different things. If your ping is around 76 but you still experience delays when shooting or moving, it likely means that your connection is unstable — your data packets are being delivered inconsistently. This often happens due to issues with your router, mobile network, or ISP.

You can try switching to a more stable connection or even using a VPN to improve packet delivery. On our side, we’re constantly working on improving connectivity — especially in cases where the player’s ISP struggles to provide a stable route to our servers.

Most server-related problems are actually tied to ISPs. Recently, for example, our hosting provider resolved an issue that was affecting connections from certain South American ISPs.
Why does lag happen even at low ping (e.g., 76)?
Will matchmaking be based on hero power rather than trophies?No.
Why can't players from Ukraine access the "Eastern Europe" server?

Some Eastern European servers are located in countries whose servers are blocked by others. Unfortunately, the only way to work around this issue is by using a VPN.

 

 

Progression and upgrades

Why is acquiring new heroes so difficult even at high trophy leagues?We designed hero unlocks to be a part of your overall progression — not something that happens instantly. Some heroes unlock as you climb through Leagues, others can drop from chests with a certain chance (that's how the gacha system works). If heroes were too easy to get, there wouldn’t be much of a sense of growth or achievement.
Any fix planned for people not upgrading heroes to Divine tier?We have plans to rework both end-game matchmaking and Bravery Road to reduce the number of such cases. Stay tuned. 
Why don’t you make it easier to max heroes?We don’t make it easy to max heroes because the game is designed around long-term progression. Maxing out a hero isn’t supposed to happen quickly — especially not right after starting the game. Progress takes time and reflects not only how much you play, but how much you improve as a player. The stronger you get, the tougher your opponents become, so quick maxing would break that balance and remove the sense of growth.
Will there be more ways to spend coins after maxing out all heroes?Yes, but only in the distant future.
Will there be a way to convert extra plugins/cubes after maxing out all drones?Maybe ;)
Will the League system be reworked? There’s no motivation to play after reaching the top league.Every system in the game — including Leagues — has a natural end point. Creating endless leagues in a PvP game, where you fight against real people, isn’t technically or logically possible. At high levels, there just aren’t enough active players, so you’d move through leagues too quickly without any real challenge or competition.

If your main motivation is competition, we suggest checking out Contracts. The rivalry there is always active and intense.

That said, we’re currently experimenting with Leagues and the progression system in general, so this may change in the future.

How do you see ideal progression for new players, considering bots with higher rank?

We see early progression as a step-by-step learning process. At the beginning, it’s important for new players to get used to the basics: shooting, movement, positioning, using abilities, and teamwork. That’s why early matches often include bots — to give players a safe space to learn and get comfortable with the gameplay.

As you progress, the difficulty increases — bots become smarter, and real experienced players start to appear. Everyone learns at their own pace — some pick things up fast, while others need more time. That’s totally fine. Losing matches is part of the process — it’s not a failure, it’s a chance to improve.

It also helps to learn things like peeking from cover, using team combos, and understanding how different abilities work together. Each hero plays differently: some need full buffs to be effective, others need to act fast and deal damage quickly. Knowing your enemy is just as important — every hero has strengths and weaknesses, especially against different classes.

Can we get a clear formula for how stats and mods affect hero power?No, we don’t share the exact formulas for how stats and mods affect hero power. This is internal information and not meant for public release.

 

Questions related to the events and game modes

Can we select heroes before every match like in Sabotage/TDM?No, we don’t plan to add hero selection before every match. We believe that adapting during the match is an important part of gameplay — it’s not just about your personal preference, but also about working with your team and making choices based on their hero picks.
Will spawn protection and spawn logic be improved in TDM?Improving spawn protection and spawn logic in TDM is something we can consider in the future. However, at the moment, we have no specific plans regarding this.
Will there be more maps for Sabotage and Squad vs Squad?Yes, we periodically add new maps.
Any plan to bring back old maps?That is something we are currently discussing internally, but we have no promises to make at this time. 
Are there any plans to improve Team Match and Custom Mode?
Why do we need to add Syndicate members as friends to invite them to mimic groups?You need to add Syndicate members as friends to invite them to Mimic Hunt groups because the current invite system works through the friends list. This way, it allows players to team up not only with Syndicate members, but also with friends from outside their Syndicate.
Can Zombie PvE be separated from arcade?
We will consider that.
Will arcade/zombie PvE achievements be added?
Will mimic hunt be removed from Battle Royale and made a separate mode?
Will event earnings stop being reduced significantly after grinding too much?We don't have such a system in our game.
Will there be trophy ranges in contracts?We plan to make certain changes to the contracts leaderboards. So far, can't share any details, as it is still in design progress. Stay tuned.
Do you plan to add new game modes?Absolutely.
Will there be more rewards for aggressive play in Team Match and fixes for spawns?Rewards — no.

Visuals and cosmetics

Will there be profile photo-changing effects per hero/skin?Maybe at some point.
Will old-generation characters receive visual remodels?In one of the recent updates, the models of old characters were visually improved. However, we do not plan to significantly change the characters beyond recognition.
Can we get those cool BEI skins?No, they are exclusive to Bullet Echo India.
Is there any chance of Alpha Stalker skin coming back?No, Alpha Stalker Skin was a limited-time promotion.
Can Necromancer Shenji with blue flames skin be made?Thank you for the idea; we will consider it.
Will there be updates to reload animations (magazine, belt, underbarrel, etc.)?No plans for that.
Will ability animations change with different skins?Maybe in the future.

Can lore for new characters be written?We do try to write lore for each new character, and sometimes we share parts of it through videos on our YouTube channel and our FAQ. That said, in-game lore is still an ongoing discussion within the team — it’s something we definitely want to expand on in the future.
How does Mirage store the jetpack (6th slot)?Just like any game character with RPG in its pants! (magic)

General Questions

How many developers are working on this game?About 30 people.
Do developers work from home or in an office?Both!
Do you guys actually play your own game?Yes, we are!
Are the 3D Bullet Echo ads marketing only, or will there be a 3D version?Yes, 3D is only made for marketing purposes. We are not planning to make a 3D version of Bullet Echo.
Is there any plan for a desktop port or Steam release?The Steam page was real — not a fake. We wanted to test how the game would perform without a major announcement: how quickly people would find it, how many would add it to their wishlist, and how the ad tests would go. All of this was to determine whether it made sense to proceed with a PC version. Unfortunately, at the moment we do not see the necessary signals to confidently start development of a PC version, so we removed the page.
What happened to the Bullet Echo page on Steam?(See the answer above.)
What's up with the PC version? Will it differ much from the mobile one? Will there be exclusive content? We’d like to hear more about it.(See the answer above.)
How long do you work on ideas before introducing them?It depends on the specific feature. Simple changes or visual improvements can go from idea to release fairly quickly. However, large and complex mechanics — such as new modes, syndicate functions, or major balance changes — require significantly more time. The larger the feature, the longer the planning, testing, and logic refinement takes.
What projects inspire you the most?We don't rely on any one or few specific projects. Instead, we study successful practices across the industry, analyze what works well for others, and try to create something unique and fitting for our own game.
Will there be more tracks from "Bionic Nomads"?Yes!
When will the new beta testers be recruited?We’re planning to revise the beta testing program, and it’s possible that we’ll move away from open recruitment like we did in the past. At this moment, we don’t have any specific information to share about future recruitment.

 

Questions-not-questions

Need lobbies with heroes of the same tier only, so I can practice a newly unlocked legendary hero without being matched against stellar-tier opponents.This feature would kill all game modes and the meaning of playing a competitive multiplayer game. Sorry, won't be implemented.
Add a practice mode with dummies to test damage and stats.We have no plans on adding this, but can suggest using Custom Mode with your friends instead. We've seen many YouTube videos from Content Creators where they test many things, including hero damage.
Enable team chat during match waiting time for pre-created teams.We've spent more time thinking about how to answer this question-not-question than the average waiting time in the lobby.
Technology Pass should include coils.Why not.
Add power caps in normal lobbies (e.g., max 2300) and make hero cards easier to get.No, we have no plans for both.
Add a team indicator next to names and show who is the team leader.Why not.
Add different animations for skins — firing, reloading, kill taunts, etc.Stay tuned for the next updates.
League payouts should be restructured like Contracts with better rewards — including gear, coils, and nuts.We'll think about it, thanks!
Allow using joker cards instead of skull coins to upgrade heroes in Bravery Road when all others are maxed.Same answer as for Bravery Road.
Chest stacking is needed.Not planned.
Release heroes like Kwon — balanced and skill-based.The idea of what’s ‘balanced’ or ‘skill-based’ can be very different from player to player. Some love snipers, while others can’t stand them and prefer tanks or close-range fighters. That’s why it’s impossible to create a hero who feels perfectly balanced and skill-rewarding for 100% of the player base. What we do aim for is offering a variety of playstyles — so everyone can find a hero that suits them.
Please remove the new map — it's very laggy.We have no plans on removing any maps from the game. But we are working on optimizing new maps for older devices.
Enable Bluetooth compatibility for voice chat — wireless earbuds with mic don’t work.We tested it and can't confirm. Report this to our Support Team so we could learn more about it (Settings → Support).
You keep releasing bad updates — please make a good one.What’s a bad update for one player might be a great one for another — it’s tough to make everyone happy at the same time. But we’re always working to improve and appreciate your feedback.
