From April 27 to May 4, you sent us hundreds of questions through Discord and the Telegram bot — and honestly, we're thrilled the community is this curious about the game. The developers picked the 10 most popular questions that hadn't come up during the previous big Q&A session and answered each one.
By the way, if you didn't find the answer to your question here — check out the previous AMA session via this link: it has over 200 questions with answers!
QUESTIONS FROM PLAYERS | DEVELOPERS ANSWERS |
| Will bots be improved — their behavior and the variety of heroes they use? | Yes, we have plans for that. We're looking to both diversify the heroes bots use and make them smarter. But that's already a spoiler — we can't share more details just yet, so stay tuned! |
| Is a rework of the weapon modification system planned? The progress bars and stat calculation formulas are very hard to understand. | A global overhaul of the modification system isn't planned in the near future — it's a large system that touches the entire game's balance. That said, readability of stats is a separate issue, and we're logging feedback on it. If you have specific ideas for improvement — share them in the suggestions channel on our Discord server. |
| Is there a plan to simplify the hero and gear progression system? It's extremely hard for new players to keep up with fully upgraded opponents. | The game's economy is a living system, and we work on it constantly. According to our internal analytics, players are progressing faster, there are more resource sources, and they're no longer tied to a single channel. But we understand that the feeling of a gap between a new player and a maxed-out one hasn't gone away — and that's a separate problem we're working on independently from the overall economy. While that work is ongoing, here's a practical tip: early on, it's better to focus on 1–3 heroes and gear for them rather than spreading resources across everyone. It helps you reach a competitive level faster. |
| When will new maps come out for Sabotage, Team Deathmatch, and King of the Hill? | New maps are coming — that's 100%. We already have new maps in development for these modes. The only thing is, we don't have specific dates yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we do. |
| Will older and starter heroes be reworked or rebalanced? Heroes like Doc, Cyclops, Molly, Sparkle, and Ramsay feel noticeably weaker than newer ones. | Starter heroes — Sparkle, Smog, Freddy and similar ones — are intentionally kept simple. That's not a flaw; it's a deliberate decision. When a player first comes to Bullet Echo, it's important that they start by getting to grips with the basics — movement, shooting, positioning. An ability that "throws a grenade that explodes" is immediately intuitive. But "throws a grenade that explodes, then pulls objects toward the center and highlights the surrounding area" — that's several layers to process at once. We don't want to overwhelm newcomers from the very first minutes, so we're not planning to change starter heroes or those unlocked at low trophy counts. As for "reworks" — we currently have no plans to globally redesign existing heroes. Every character launches with carefully designed abilities, and each of them finds their place in battle — and their player. Every hero has strengths and weaknesses by design. There are no unkillable heroes, and there shouldn't be. Rebalancing is a different story, and yes, it will happen. We regularly look at stats and analyze how heroes feel in matches. Stats are one tool, but numbers are never looked at out of context — many factors influence them. Simple abilities don't mean a hero has to be weak — straightforward mechanics can be made competitive too. We can't name specific heroes that will be affected right now, but if we see that a hero objectively doesn't fit — we act. |
| What stage of development are Syndicate Wars at, and when will they be available? | In all likelihood, Syndicate Wars won't be coming in 2026. We understand how important this mode is to the community, and that's exactly why we want to release it properly — without rushing. What we can say is that this year has several collaborations in store — and with them, brand new modes that Bullet Echo has never seen before. We're not revealing details just yet — stay tuned! |
| Is there a plan to develop the game's lore and story — through in-game tabs, new videos, or other formats? | Short answer — yes, it's planned. Long answer: with each new hero we gradually expand the Bullet Echo universe — but we understand that's not the deep lore dive many of you are waiting for. Inside the team, this question hasn't been shelved: we're thinking about how to build a proper official lore and what format to present it in. It's a big undertaking, and we don't want to rush it — and certainly not do it through AI, so that everyone ends up spitting out AI slop. |
| Is there a plan to add stats for all modes — kills and wins in Sabotage, TDM wins — to the player profile? | Yes, we plan to develop the player profile further down the line. Right now it doesn't reflect everything that happens in the game, and we know that. |
| Will a battle replay feature be added? | Not in the near-term plans. Replays in Bullet Echo are more complex than in most other games: the fog of war and limited visibility mechanics mean the system would need to reproduce not just the players' actions, but what each player could actually see at any given moment in a match. That's fundamentally different from games where all players share the same view, and it makes replay a separate large-scale challenge. We don't rule it out in the long term, but it's not a priority right now. |
| Will there be official tournaments from ZeptoLab? | There will be. We set a high quality bar for official ZeptoLab tournaments — and right now it's difficult to deliver that at the level we want. In the meantime, community-run tournaments are already happening: our Content creators regularly organize competitions with prizes for players, and some of them are directly sponsored by ZeptoLab. So even if we're not running them ourselves just yet — we're part of it and make sure everything is run properly. |
That's all for now! The next AMA will be in a few months — we'll announce when the question collection opens across our social media, so keep an eye out.
